Field tests are experiments that made to know the properties of the ground and investigate the mechanical behavior under load.

STANDARD PENETRATION TEST (SPT)

Standard Penetration Test (SPT) is the most widely used field experiment. SPT is used to determine soil, adhesion, and cohesionless soils, stiffness, strength, consistency and liquefaction status, floor carrying capacity and estimated sedimentation.

CONE PENETRATION TEST

The cone penetration test (CPT), a tip with conical geometry is mounted on metal rods to constantly measure the force required to push the floor with hydraulic pressure at a constant speed without the need to open a well. Take intact sample isn't generally possible on the determination of the carrying capacity and seating capacity of shallow bases without cohesion. Therefore, these tests are made a fast and economical method of on-site.

PRESSUREMETER TEST

The pressuremeter test is based on the principle that a cylindrical cell placed in a vertical position in a borehole is subjected to a uniformly radiated pressure on the wall of the well by means of a flexible membrane.
